Friday, Oct. 13, 2006

3:00 - 6:00 pm  Centennial check-in at Grover's Corner (downtown)

4:30 pm  Homecoming parade (downtown). Largest in school history. Over 80 entries; included the CHS Band, the Class of 1945, Class of 1956, Class of 1964, Class of 1965, Class of 1976, antique cars, and dozens of homecoming queens from 1944 - 2005.

6:30 pm  Pre-game recognitions (Parks Field). Over 30 homecoming queens from 1944 - 2005 were introduced on the football field.

7:00 pm  Homecoming game vs. Tunica Rosa Fort (Parks Field). CHS won 52-6!

9:30 pm  professional fireworks display (Parks Field). 15 minutes of breathtaking fireworks synchronized to music.

10:00 pm  Octoberfest street dance (downtown)

Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006

9:00 am - 2:00 pm  Octoberfest (downtown)

1:00 pm  Alumni Baseball Game (Sank Powe Field) open to the public. Attended by hundreds.

2:00 - 4:00 pm  events and activities (CHS campus) open to the public. Included the renaming ceremony for A.K. Eckles Lane, memorabilia in the library, picknicking on the front lawn, a stage production in the auditorium, pavilions on campus for social time, the memorial brick plaza, guided tours of the school and campus, and a reception in the CHS gym.

7:00 pm  catered dinner at the Warehouse (adults only) casual attire. The Warehouse was great and the food was delicious.

8:00 - 11:00 pm  dance featuring "The Chill" at the Warehouse (adults only) casual attire. Outstanding.

Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006

10:30 am  Reflections and school songs in the CHS auditorium (adults only) followed by the Centennial Service. Quite emotional. 150 attended.
